Department of Real Estate Advisory Board Awards
The Department of Real Estate will award several scholarships each year of up to $5,000 to eligible, full-time or part-time students entering the Master of Science in Real Estate degree program, or to current Master of Science in Real Estate students.

Time Equities Graduate Student Merit Awards
The Department of Real Estate will award up to two awards each year of up to $5,000 to eligible, full-time or part-time students entering the Master of Science in Real Estate degree program at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College or entering one of Zicklin’s MBA programs with a major in Real Estate.

HOW TO APPLY:
*If you meet the scholarship eligibility requirements and would like to apply to any of the scholarships or awards listed above, please submit a one page essay that concisely explains why you want to follow a career in real estate, what you hope to accomplish in the field, and why this scholarship or award is important to you. The essay should be submitted as an e-mail attachment and sent to Margo Weaker, Director, External Relations and Student Services, at margo.weaker@baruch.cuny.edu. In the subject line, indicate the scholarship or award that you are applying. We highly recommend that you submit a completed admissions application to the Zicklin Graduate Admissions Office one month prior to the application deadline.

The Cohen Family Graduate Real Estate Scholarship
The Cohen Family Real Estate scholarship will award up to $5,000 to eligible, full-time students entering the Master of Science in Real Estate degree program at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.
The Finkleman Scholarship
The Finkleman Scholarship will award up to $2,500 to eligible, part-time students entering the Master of Science in Real Estate degree program at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.

International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Foundation Undergraduate Real Estate Award

Each year, The ICSC Foundation provides scholarships to support undergraduate and graduate students in retail, real estate or a related field.
Undergraduate Real Estate Award
The ICSC Foundation is proud to announce the Undergraduate Real Estate Award Program. The award program established in 2009 will annually provide 25 $1,000.00 awards to a junior or senior enrolled in a collegiate undergraduate real estate program that demonstrates exceptional potential for a career within the retail real estate sector.
The program has two primary objectives: First, to help familiarize universities offering real estate as an undergraduate major with ICSC. And second, to build and strengthen relationships between the undergraduate real estate program and ICSC, as well as the ICSC Foundation.
This award is to be used for student tuition and related expenses. In addition, the recipient will also receive a free ICSC student membership for one year and other benefits geared to enhance their academic path.
The schools are selected on criterion such as number of ICSC student members, academic ranking, strength of real estate program, industry involvement, faculty investment and real estate clubs and conference participation.
Students are chosen by the dean of their prospective progarm based on overall academic and extracurricular involvement.

Charles Grossman Graduate Scholarship
Two $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduate students that are members of ICSC and are studying a retail real estate or related curriculum. The scholarship also covers the cost of attending the Foundation’s annual award ceremony held in conjunction with RECon: The Global Retail Real Estate Convention, May 20 – 23 in Las Vegas, NV. Schurgin Family Foundation Scholarship
One $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student studying retail real estate or a related field. The scholarship also covers the cost of attending the Foundation’s annual award ceremony held in conjunction with RECon: The Global Retail Real Estate Convention, May 20 – 23 in Las Vegas, NV. Durst Scholarship
This annual scholarship will be allocated to an undergraduate real estate major who agrees to focus upon sustainable real estate in either the real estate development or investment tracks within the Department of Real Estate.
Applicants must have at least a 3.2 GPA and provide a short (no more than 1 page essay) explaining how they propose to examine the links between real estate and green or sustainable business practices.
The Department of Real Estate will select the candidate.

Jerome S. Berg Scholarship
- For a junior or a senior majoring in Real Estate who has demonstrated financial need and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

The scholarship is renewable for students who continue to demonstrate financial need and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Candidates will be selected by the Department.

Wittlin Scholarship
To honor Joanne Wittlin’s memory, a scholarship has been established in her name by her friends and family. The scholarship will be used to bring talented young people into the real estate industry through financial support to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Real Estate/Zicklin’s real estate programs.
Criteria:
- A junior or senior year undergraduate or an MBA or MS student in good standing enrolled at Zicklin/Baruch College,
- Majoring in Real Estate
- With a minimum GPA of 3.2

Joseph Moinian Real Estate Award
Is awarded to one or two graduating seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence in the course of studying real estate at Baruch College.

WX (Women Executives in Real Estate) Scholarships
WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate is an invitation-only association of senior-level women actively engaged in the commercial real estate industry in New York. WX's diverse membership includes owners, developers, architects, engineers, bankers, and lawyers.

WX awards scholarships on an annual basis to promising students studying real estate at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The scholarships are awarded in the spring. The criteria used in awarding scholarships are based primarily on academic merit and demonstrated interest in real estate, through courses, clubs, internships, job experience, etc. To learn more about WX, please see their website at: www.wxnyre.com. Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) Charitable Fund Scholarship
This scholarship provides support to undergraduate or graduate students specializing in real estate who expect to pursue a career in real estate. The scholarship is to be applied to tuition costs and fees. Recipient will be invited to attend AREW functions. The scholarship may be split between two students.
Selection criteria:
- Enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student, specializing in real estate.
- Demonstrated financial need.
- Graduated from a New York City public high school.
- Expects to pursue a career in real estate.
- Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA.

CREW Network and CREW Foundation Scholarship
The CREW Network & CREW Foundation Scholarship Endowment program is for women pursuing an education that will lead to a career in the commercial real estate industry, and offers an internship in brokerage to encourage women to consider this career choice. The CREW Network & CREW Foundation Scholarship(s) will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence and interest in commercial real estate as a career, and is intended to help finance the educational endeavors of female undergraduate students during their junior or senior years of academic preparation and students enrolled in full time applicable graduate programs.
- Scholarship recipients will complete an internship at a commercial real estate brokerage firm during the summer following the academic year for which the scholarship grant was awarded.
- Scholarship recipients will participate in the CREW Network eMentoring program during at least the last 12 months following the grant of the scholarship.
Scholarship Value
The number of awards, and the specific dollar amount of each award which will not be less than $5,000 (to cover tuition and books) and will be identified based upon the availability of interest income from the Endowment, contributions and matching corporate funds.
Eligibility Requirements
The applicant must be a female enrolled as a full-time student at a college or university with an accredited real estate program or students enrolled in full time applicable graduate programs. Applications will also be considered if the applicant is a female enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university that does not have an accredited real estate program, but where the applicant’s focus of study is on any area included in the qualified fields of commercial real estate for CREW membership, and where it is the applicant’s intent to pursue a career in commercial real estate.
• The applicant must be of junior or senior standing during the school year 2012-13 for undergraduate student applications, or enrolled full-time in an applicable graduate program for graduate student applications.
• The applicant must have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• The scholarship is only available to citizens of the United States and Canada.
Application Procedures
Complete and submit the form online, then print the form and attach it with the completed application packet. All application materials must be submitted, in their entirety, in one envelope.

Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association of New York, Inc. Scholarships
YMWREA is pleased to offer students currently enrolled in Baruch’s real estate program the following scholarship opportunity:
A $1000 scholarship, which will go toward tuition, will be awarded to a student meeting the following criteria:
- An undergraduate or graduate student in high academic standing (minimum 3.5 GPA)
- With a declared major in real estate and
- Demonstrates charitable or community service involvement.

Mortgage Bankers Association of New York Scholarship
This scholarship provides partial tuition and textbook funding assistance to students who are studying in the Real Estate programs and intend to pursue a career in real estate.
Selection criteria:
- Applicants must be a junior or senior in the BBA real estate program or MBA or MS real estate program students
- Applicants must intend to pursue real estate careers
- Applicants must write a statement demonstrating their commitment to commercial real estate
- Applicants must maintain 3.2 GPA.
Candidates shall be selected by the Department of Real Estate/Zicklin School of Business.
The Baruch College Fund (BCF) offers a number of privately endowed or restricted scholarship funds administered by the Office of Financial Aid.
