Baruch College was awarded 2nd place in the 2009 Argus Software University Challenge
On April 30, Baruch College was awarded 2nd place in the 2009 Argus Software University Challenge hosted by the Indiana University. The Challenge hosted 13 universities across the country with Baruch finishing above schools such as NYU, Johns Hopkins, UC-Berkley, UNC, and Michigan. The two month long competition required the participants to act as an investment fund manager and analyze/evaluate an opportunity to invest in an office project within an emerging market (a simulated market created by Argus). The panel of judges (consisting of university professors and leaders of the industry) was impressed by Baruch Team’s “superb” analysis of the project. Congratulations to the members of our Baruch Team: Rob DeFina, Ilya Shnayder, Adam Jacobs, Joel Neuenhaus, and Albert Dayan.
