The Mitsui USA Lunch-Time Forum Series

The Mitsui USA Lunch-Time Forum Series

The Mitsui USA Foundation has provided financial support for six Mitsui USA Lunchtime Forums annually since 1995 and was one of the first programs run by the Weissman Center after it was established by the CUNY Board of Trustees. In the spring 2012, the Center will be hosting the 100th session in this continuous series.

The Mitsui USA Lunch-Time Forum series brings prominent speakers from the worlds of business to discuss timely topics related to international business. The goal is to provide Baruch undergraduate and graduate students with the perspective of successful practitioners. Students are able to ask questions and model professional behavior and presentation skills. Approximately 600 students, faculty, staff as well as alumni and other guests attend these events each year.

In selecting topics and speakers, the Center takes a multidisciplinary approach focusing on the following main areas:

      • The political and policy environment for international business
      • Strategy for international business
      • Managing international business
      • Country and regional perspectives on international business.
